HP has released a new firmware, version 002.2428A, on August 27, 2024. This firmware is available via WiFi push and on the official website for printers using CF289 series replacement cartridges. After applying this upgrade, some printers may display a "Non-HP Chip Detected" error.

Please advise end-users to disable HP Automatic Updates and avoid manual firmware updates from HP's website to minimize potential issues. If the goods still in stock then chips need to be updated.
